Girl Effect is a strategic collaboration between the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) and the Nike Foundation. This partnership helps transform the lives of adolescent girls currently living in poverty by engaging the girls themselves as active participants.
Girl Effect seeks to empower millions of adolescent girls. Drawing on the knowledge of both DFID and Nike Foundation, the programme uses a unique combination of expertise and insights from adolescent girls, social communications and investment in innovative approaches to deliver results for girls.
GRID is serving largely as a Human Resources intermediary throughout the course of the programme, ensuring the required human resource needs are provided to beneficiaries.
